What do I need for us to get started?

Do I need to purchase Framer Commerce or Frameship myself?
Yes. To publish and launch your e-commerce store, you must have an active Framer Commerce or Frameship plan under your own Framer Commerce or Frameship account. We’ll advise on which commerce option makes sense for your business, but plan purchase and ongoing billing must be handled by you after the site has been developed.
Which should I choose: Framer Commerce or Frameship?
That depends on your needs: - Framer Commerce → Best for simpler catalogs, smaller inventories, and native Framer workflows - Frameship → Better for more complex product logic, scalability, and advanced commerce needs We’ll walk through your catalog and recommend the best fit before build begins.
What if my products aren’t finalized yet?
That’s common. We can: - Build using placeholder products - Swap in final product data later without breaking the site - Define your CMS and variant structure in advance The key requirement is agreeing on product logic and store taxonomy, not perfection.
