Summary

This is my comprehensive community management contract for established communities that require ongoing moderation and engagement. I've previously delivered this package for communities in tech (DevOps, OSS) and wellness (training & nutrition) sectors.

  • Who is this for?

    Communities that have clear goals and objectives that they are successfully working towards. Communities that have launched but haven't attracted members or experienced any activity so far.

  • Who is this not for?

    Organizations that don't have a community established (see Consultation - Strategy or Consultation - R&D services). Communities that have yet to launch; communities that are pivoting their focus and need to relaunch (see Consultation - Strategy or Consultation - R&D services).

What's included

  • SOPs

    Defining SOPs (if these aren't already in place). Communicating and reviewing SOPs on a regular basis, including: Community guidelines/code of conduct, content moderation and spam management, responding to user-generated content.

  • Community newsletter

    Establishing or maintaining monthly/biweekly community newsletter (if required): Planning/designing/launching (as required), gathering content and compile as per cadence, managing mailing list.

  • Community content calendar

    Identifying and implementing appropriate content types, rituals, cadences, e.g. daily/weekly/monthly seed content, AMAs/member spotlights, featured content, product updates, and/or surveys. Delivering content calendar (with content) for 1 month, in advance of the start of the month. Sharing appropriate content with social media or marketing teams on a defined cadence.

  • Community moderation and spam management

    Daily check for spam content, and appropriate processing according to community SOPs. Daily review of user-generated content, and appropriate responses according to community SOPs. Publishing ritual content according to content calendar, and appropriate responses according to community SOPs.

  • Community engagement

    Responding to user-generated content (e.g. answering questions, redirecting questions). Daily review of user-generated content, and appropriate responses according to community SOPs. Publishing ritual content according to content calendar, and appropriate responses according to community SOPs.

  • Community rewards and gameification

    Defining community rewards program, if required: Elevating user-generated content, badges or visible nonmonetary rewards, swag or physical nonmonetary rewards. Awarding badges according to rewards program guidelines. Adding users to swag assignment database, according to rewards program guidelines.

  • Community strategy

    Evaluating community strategy against performance, including Community personae, goals/objectives/KPIs. Advocating for change and improvement by researching and write proposals to make recommendations for modifications or additions to community strategy, SOPs, and/or rewards program.

  • Community partnerships

    Building partnerships and relationships with communities, products, or organizations that are relevant to the community, for the benefit of community members, such as content partnerships, discounts or member benefits, and incorporating partnership benefits into content calendar, newsletter, and/or rewards program.

  • Intra-organization community advocacy

    Troubleshooting community software + liaising with support team.
