About this service

Summary

I'm offering Modern designs for any variety of print item, clothing, or other advertisement products. I am young and have a strong grasp on the bleeding edge of both design trends, and techniques. I have good time management skills, and will keep you in the loop as I work so you can see the process and ensure that everything is coming together the way you want it to.

Process

Firstly, we'll coordinate and discuss what it is you're looking to have designed, and if you have any specific rules or guidelines for this product that you need me to follow. I'll likely provide you with an estimate in how long that will take me and an expected price point for the product. As freelancer I also have a contract which covers that the product isn't yours until you pay for it, and that I can use it on my portfolio in my search for other work. The last detail it mentions is that at each step of the process you're limited to three revisions before a change in pay.
After the first meeting I will likely get to work, within a day I will have some sketches of the ideas I have in mind and will either email or schedule a video call with you to coordinate and make sure that I understand exactly what you're looking for, and we can keep it on track. You're free to provide revisions and ideas to change at this step, along with any other.
Once we're agreed on what the general layout and concept will be, I will start making rough B&W designs of the product, unless you gave me specific colors to work with, and present you with my first rough draft. Depending on the item this could take anywhere from 2 hours to several days. This will again go through a process of revision if you want it to. Eventually once the idea is set in stone I'll move forward. Depending on the product, the time frame starts to grow wildly. If you want just a flier, or a poster, this likely would be a next day discussion where I would reach out with what I believe to be the final version, and you'll be offered to go through your last stage of revisions. Once that is done I will send you everything and be available for any future work as well as stay in contact if there is anything in the future that you want changed with this item.

FAQs

  • How long will this take?

    The truth is that it depends on what you're asking for. I can likely go through sketching, rough draft, and final product in ~12 working hours for a poster or a flier. However, if you're looking for an annual report design that is 24 pages, that will take me longer. That'll require a lot more communication about the included copy and the colors and the longer stretch of designing all of the pages. That could take me well over 30 hours, depending on the number of revisions. Generally, I would say that something 1 to 4 pages/sides will take me 20 or fewer hours. As the page count grows, the time also does, though less time is added as the number grows. The hard part is ensuring the layout is good and that there is a design concept for every page you like. The actual finalizing process is not excruciating.

  • Can you Design X?

    Logo – Yes Pamphlet – Yes Annual Report – Yes Stickers – Yes Annual Report – Yes, but you'll need to give me a lot of information. Clothes – Yes and no. I can design print-on graphics, not new clothes. Poster – Yes, my personal favorite. Website – No, They take a much longer time. Additionally, I could only do front-end design; coding is not a skill I have. Interactive Prototype – I have skills in Figma. I could design an interactive web prototype or app prototype, but getting it from prototype to finished product would require someone else's skills. Skin designs for a video game controller – Yes, I have experience in arcade style and more modern controller designs Something Else – Feel free to reach out; I'm sure this list is not exhaustive, and if you have something that isn't on this list, feel free to ask. If it gets printed, the answer is probably yes; if it's purely digital, as long as it isn't a whole website, I am probably on board to help with that as well.

What's included

  • PDF or PNG

    A single file that contains the final product in a clear, concise, online-friendly format. This also works to get the content printed at most if not all, printing locations. You'll receive anywhere from 1 to 3 of these per item, depending on your request.

  • Original Workable File

    Depending on the product you ask for, this could be a PSD, INDD, AI, or even a CSP file. Whatever works for you. If you cannot access any programs to open and edit those, I can also move it to something that works for you. This is the working file. The design will be made and sent to you if you want, so you can make tweaks and edits later or change content if you intend to use the same layout for multiple items.

  • Up to 3 Revisions/Variants

    Depending on what you want, I can work up to 3 revisions at the base cost. These can be three updates through you for what you want to be changed or three variations of the item so you can use it in multiple contexts. Regardless, 3 is the limit before discussing a change in pay for the project.

  • Packaged File with all resources included

    A single .zip file will have the finished product in PDF form, the original working file format, a print-ready PDF form, and all the linked images and designs used to create the piece.
