FAQs
How long will this take?
Logos are a pretty sensitive topic for the client (You). As such, it will likely take at least a couple of days. The long answer is that I will likely correspond with you constantly and receive your input. Depending on how much you like my first ideas this can significantly draw out or shorten the process. The absolute minimum time is that I could complete a logo in ~4 hours, but you would not have time to correct it or adjust it. By contrast, the most prolonged possible timeframe would be a week. If I present you with sketches, you have me revise them three times. Then, I present a rough draft, and you also ask for three revisions. Finally, I present a final project, and you ask for the last three revisions. That would probably take closer to a week, depending on the severity of the revisions. Minor changes would likely not take that long.
What do you need to know about my brand?
Colors – If you need specific Hexcode colors for brand identity reasons or want to be included to help emphasize your style, those can significantly increase the speed of the process. (They aren't necessary, of course) Content of the logo – If you have a concept in mind or rough sketches of your thoughts, having those can help me narrow it down and speed up the process. Depending on the quality of your sketches, I may even skip the first phase of my process altogether and save you some money. Intent – Informing me of the purpose of this identity can help me stylize the logo, especially if you don't have a strong concept in mind. Letting me know where you intend to put it and the context in which people will see it will help me coordinate with your general aesthetic and style and meet your needs sooner. Important Content – This is a bit separate from the "Content of the logo" as this is more directed at individuals and small businesses who don't have a logo. If you're unsure what you want but know you want one, I can first help counsel you through that process, and if you decide you don't want one, there'll be no fee. Through that process, we can talk about things you like, your tastes, preferences, and interests, and see which of those can help guide your logo design. If you're in love with hydrangeas but run an auto repair shop, those don't have to be exclusive to each other; your logo could be a van with hydrangeas printed on it, or they could be included in the lettering of your brand name. There is a lot to work with, so don't be shy to tell me anything that you like to see.
What's included
Finished Logo
Your completed logo can be in whatever file format you would like. If unsure, please tell me the intended use, and I will tell you what works. I am also willing to help you implement it wherever you use it. Though that may be an extra cost.
Working File
This is the actual file I used to make your logo. I can send it to you at no additional cost, depending on whether or not you intend to change it on your own later or if you want to have all of the process work included for your understanding.
