If your editorial project requires some experimental, unorthodox and fresh illustrations, this service is for you.

It doesn't matter if it's a postmodern short story, an experimental haiku or an advanced calculus textbook. I will provide you with images capable of fully capturing the meaning of your text.

First Approach

We will discuss the idea or the message to convey. What is the story about? What is the genre? How many illustrations will you need? What is their size? What is the artistic technique or style of the illustrations? How will they be integrated into the layout of the book?... all these (and more) questions will be answered during this phase.

Sketches

I will provide you with 3 to 5 rough sketches (depending on your requirements and the complexity of the concept), which will be reviewed and approved by you. We will stick to one of them in order to start with the final illustrations, or we can change or improve them if you are not sure (a maximum of 2 times).

Color Trials (if needed)

If you have a specific color palette or pantone to be implemented in the illustrations, or the concept requires certain colors or textures (in regards to the printing/editorial process, for example), we can include these requirements as part of the sketching process, and they will be provided and discussed there.

Process

You will be able to follow the process, review it and approve the progress and changes that may occur as part of the organic artistic development of the image(s). Depending on the deadline and feedback, I will show you 1 to 3 previews of the illustration(s).

Final Images

Lastly, I will provide you with the final illustrations. You can choose the format (JPG, TIFF, PNG...), size, mode (RGB or CMYK) and resolution (72, 300, 600 dpi...) that best suits the requirements of your project.
