Goal: your team or customers change pages and themes themselves, without touching code or breaking the layout.
I build a visual editor for one page model in your existing app. I designed and built the component-based theme editor in Inviboo, my own event SaaS, where hosts customise invitations and admins manage themes.
Starter: a fixed layout with up to 4 component types, text and image fields, live preview and saving through your API.
Standard: up to 8 component types, section reordering, controlled style options, undo and redo, draft preview and saving.
Advanced: up to 12 component types, 2 user roles, draft and publish states and a versioned document schema, saved and published through your API.
Not included: freeform drag-anywhere canvases, custom HTML or scripts, real-time collaboration, converting old themes.
Done when:
your sample pages render correctly after editing and saving;
edits outside the agreed model are rejected;
in Advanced, only the allowed role can publish;
you have the source, the document model and setup notes.
