What's included

• Interviews

  Upon assessing inclusion and exclusion criteria to better determine which participants to recruit for our research, I will then generate user-specific interview questions that are also tailored to the project at hand. Following this, I can organize and complete a series of interviews in a short time frame to collect valuable qualitative and quantitive data.

• Affinity Diagramming

  Following the completion of my user interviews, I then assess key codes from each participant and organize them into separate categories within an affinity diagram. I primarily use the platform Miro to organize quotes and codes in the form of sticky notes based on the participant IDs of each interviewee. The diagram always me to sort the interview data into major themes and ideas, which can lead me to valuable research findings to implement into my final design.

• Survey

  Using my research findings, I am able to create a concise yet comprehensive survey addressing key components of the project at hand. This is to fill in any holes or gaps in my first round of data collection. These results allow me to refine my key takeaways and apply them to my design process.

• Survey Visualizations

  I am also able to develop useful visuals of key takeaways from survey data. This may include bar graphs, pie charts, linear graphs, etc.

• Persona Map

  To form a deeper understanding of the users' goals, needs, experiences, and behaviors, I can assess two+ personas that represent the main user bases I find during my research process.

• Storyboard & Task Analysis Diagram

  I showcase the process a user may take in a specific scenario to complete a certain action. This is directly related to the service/product I am designing for or researching about.
