I offer a comprehensive book design service from initial concept to final print ready product. I include the full interior layout, cover design, publishing assistance and illustration services.

Step 1: Introductions: I always like to start my projects with an initial chat where I can get to know your project in more detail and ask all the questions both creative and technical to hit the ground running. This is usually done using a real time chat platform like zoom or whatsapp but can also be done using email and messages. Step 2: Initial concept design: Once I have learned as much as I can about your project, your vision and your target audience from step 1 I will then create test layouts of a small section of your book to test out font choices, paragraph styles and all the other little details that make a professional project. Then based on your feedback to these initial samples I will adapt my approach until you are 100% happy with the projects direction. Step 3: First draft full layout: At this stage I will layout the rest of your text and images based on your style established during step 2. At the end of this stage you will have a full layout and cover files for you to feedback on.

Step 4: Finishing: During step 4 we will go over the project with a fine toothed comb to make sure that everything is perfect and addressing any design issues that may have cropped up. By the end of this stage you will have perfect print ready files in all the formats that you need. A full book layout project will typically take between 2-4 weeks though it may take longer if you need images added, created or sourced.
