A report, page or nightly job is slow and you suspect the database. I find out why from the execution plan and fix it in T-SQL, with before-and-after timings measured on your data.
What you get: execution plan analysis; rewritten queries or stored procedures (set-based logic instead of cursors and loops, better joins and filters, parameter-sniffing fixes); index changes as ready-to-run scripts with rollback; and a short written note explaining each change.
Background: 9 years with SQL Server and T-SQL, including a modular web ERP on a multi-database architecture and real-time marketplace-to-accounting integrations on SQL Server. PostgreSQL work is welcome too.
Packages (fixed price, USD):
Quick fix - $90, 2 days (about 1 hour of work): one slow query or stored procedure analysed and optimised, with before/after timing and a short note.
Performance pass - $600, 4 days (about 8 hours): up to 8 queries or procedures, an index review, scripts with rollback and a written report.
Database tune-up - $1,800, 7 days (about 24 hours): the heaviest queries found from Query Store or DMVs, fixes for the top items, an indexing plan, deployment and rollback scripts, and a written report.
The price shown on this service is the Quick fix. For the larger packages, send a message with your scope and I will reply with a written plan and a matching offer.
How it works: I work on a copy, a backup or a test database where possible; production changes are delivered as scripts for you to review and apply. Async-first, in writing.
