I specialise in providing e-commerce websites for small businesses with easy-to-use solutions. This isn't a bespoke, overly technical website that you need a masters in web design to use, but a simple, cost-effective way to reach customers outside of your area (or provide a handy click & collect service for your regulars!)
Building on either a Wordpress, Shopify or Wix website, I will design an attractive website where you can proudly display your products, allowing customers from your chosen locations to purchase from.
This is a great way to maximise your sales, and with plenty of great social media marketing (another one of the services I can provide), you'll be sure to reach a whole new customer base that loves your products just as much as you do.
This is an introductory rate as I try to build my reviews on Contra, so grab it while it's hot!
What's included
Initial consultation
We'll have an initial discussion around your desires for an e-commerce website and the volume of products you'd initially like to add to it. I will talk you through the full marketer-friendly aspects of a platform that suits you best, be it Wordpress, Shopify or Wix, and I'll discuss the ongoing annual costs of maintaining an e-commerce website.
Licence purchasing and domain selection
I will source the best price for your website hosting which you can choose to renew year-on-year, or you can decide to take out a multi-year contract. To keep things secure, I will send you a link to pay on the hosting partners website should you choose to auto-renew your payment each year. This will also apply to domain purchasing, if you don't yet have a domain. (This step will not apply if you already have an existing website. If you do not have a website, the cost of domain and hosting will be separate to that of the project fee, so please keep this in mind)
Website payment set-up
I will talk you through the process of setting up your website to accept payments from popular processes such as Stripe, Klarna, Paypal and more. Any fees required for set up will be separate to the project cost and will be paid directly by you. Please keep in mind that some payment platforms may take transactional fees from each purchase.
Site map planning
We'll discuss what pages you want to have on your website and how you'd like the items in your e-commerce site to be categorised. As standard, all clients will receive a homepage, 5-10 shop category pages, an 'About Us' page and a contact page, as well as pages containing your legal documentation such as your privacy policy and cookie statement.
Design mockups
I will provide you with 2-3 different designs to choose from for your e-commerce website that align with your company's brand, showing you homepage and product page designs.
Site content
Once the design is finalised, a content planner will be set up for you to fill in information about your products (you know them best, after all). You will provide images for your products. When you have finalised your content, I will proofread and make any corrections needed, and upload this to your site pages and product listings. For your images, these will all have alt-text added (important for accessibility reasons and SEO!), and any display issues will be corrected.
Site testing
Once the design is finalised and the content is uploaded, you will be provided with a link to preview and test your website before it goes live. Any reasonable adjustments required will be included in the cost of the project. Adjustments that require more than 1 hour of work at this stage of the project will incur an additional fee.
Training and documentation
I will create a handy guide which explains how to use your website and best practice for uploading your products and maintaining your stock. I am also happy to dedicate an hour of virtual training to show you how to use the website and answer any questions you may have.
Launch
When you're happy with your brand new e-commerce website I'll hit the magic button and make your website live, ready for your customers to order from!
Additional support
For the first 3 months of your website being live, I am happy to provide up to 3 hours of support time, to catch up with any questions you might have about using your website, or any technical issues you may be experience.
Optional extras
We can discuss any optional extras you may require, such as ongoing site maintenance, site copywriting needs, search engine optimisation, site launch strategies, PPC ads and more. Just let me know!
