Kick Off
We'll start by holding a kick off call. This is a chance for us to dive into your goals and aspirations in more detail, and build an understanding of key success factors, blockers and technical capabilities and resources.
Rapid Discovery & Keyword Strategy
We will commence with a rapid discovery. The purpose of this is to get up to speed with any work you've done so far, assess performance, and conduct analysis using SEMRush and other tools to determine which keywords you should be ranking for. Following this step we’ll analyse your business strategy in combination with additional research to determine what products and/or services and locations we want to prioritise ranking for. We'll then apply these insights to enhance the structure and content of your website. Our goal is to ensure every page is effectively targeting the right audience through strategic keyword placement. This Includes: • Website Structure Evaluation: Examining the current organization of your site to identify areas for improvement, making it more intuitive for users and search engines. • Content Gap Analysis: Identifying priority keywords which don’t have content targeted towards them, and prioritising opportunities for new pages / content that will improve performance. • Content & Structural Recommendations: Recommending new pages / content to address these gaps, along with additional structural recommendations which would improve ranking and traffic to site over time. • Visual Site Map: Creation of a site map that displays your recommended website structure in a visual diagram – enabling you to easily prioritise content / pages to develop. • Keyword Mapping: Assigning the right keywords to the most relevant pages to improve their visibility in search results. Output: • Excel document containing prioritised keywords mapped to relevant pages, with gaps identified and prioritised • PDF document containing additional recommendations • Visual site map (shared as link or PDF) • 45 minute video call to determine which gaps, pages, and recommendations to prioritise. Outcome: A clear plan is laid down to optimise website structure and content to target keywords. Once implemented this will improve ranking for key search terms and drive more traffic to site over time. You will gain a clear understanding of high vs low priority recommendations, enabling you to make a clear / cost benefit analysis and determine what recommendations to move forward with.
Website Edits & Content Optimisation
Once you have determined the recommendations to proceed with, we will: • Edit existing pages and elements on the site • Build new pages as required • Optimise content on required pages for the target keyword. Copy will be edited (or written for new pages) by Call To Action and approved before each page goes live. The meta title and description for each page will also be updated or added to reflect the target keyword. Outcome: Each page will be optimised towards its target keyword, improving ranking for the term.
Schema & Site Map Audit
This phase is dedicated to addressing and optimising two critical components of your website's backend: the sitemap and structured data (schema). By refining these elements, we aim to improve how search engines like Google understand and index your site, leading to better visibility and search performance. Output: Sitemap Optimisation: After submitting a new site map to each search engine we’ll review any site-map issues that may be flagged and act accordingly. A well-organised sitemap ensures that search engines can efficiently crawl and index your website, improving its visibility in search results. Schema Implementation: Next, we'll conduct a basic audit of your website's current schema markup. Schema markup is a form of microdata that helps search engines understand the content of your site more clearly, allowing for more informative and attractive search results. Outcome: By refining your sitemap and implementing targeted schema markup we’ll ensure search engines can not only find and index all the right pages on your site, but also present them compellingly to users in search results
