FAQs
What types of issues can you fix on WordPress websites?
I specialize in addressing a wide range of issues commonly encountered on WordPress websites, including but not limited to layout problems, functionality errors, plugin conflicts, slow loading times, security vulnerabilities, and more. Whether it's a minor glitch or a complex issue, I'm equipped to tackle it effectively.
How long does the troubleshooting process typically take?
The duration of the troubleshooting process varies depending on the complexity of the issues identified and their underlying causes. After conducting a thorough inspection and review of your website, I'll provide you with an estimated timeline for resolution. Rest assured, I work diligently to resolve issues promptly without compromising quality.
Do you offer a guarantee on your fixes?
While I cannot guarantee a fix for every issue due to the inherent complexities of website development, I'm committed to finding solutions and ensuring your website operates smoothly. If it can be fixed, I will fix it. But some WordPress websites are simply beyond repair.
What precautions do you take to avoid disrupting my live website?
Prior to making any changes to your live website, I take several precautions to minimize disruption and ensure the safety of your data. This includes creating a backup of your website, conducting tests and fixes in a staging environment, and implementing changes only after thorough testing and client approval. You can trust that I prioritize the security and integrity of your website throughout the process.
When is rebuilding a website a better option than fixing it?
In some cases, particularly when a website has extensive issues or outdated technology, rebuilding from scratch may be a more cost-effective and efficient solution than attempting to fix individual problems. Factors such as the complexity of the issues, the scalability of the website, and your long-term goals will influence the decision. I'll transparently discuss this option with you and provide guidance to determine the best course of action for your specific needs.
What's included
Website review front and backend
An in-depth review and health check of your website, how is it performing, any obvious faults in addition to any faults you are aware of, size and speed, design, content and more.
Reported fault finding and diagnostics
Investigate 1 fault you are already aware of. I will try and establish what the cause of the fault is and advise the best way forward. I will do this initially by creating a copy of your website and test it in a staging environment so I am trying to fix a copy of the website on my server.
Attempt to fix the fault
To begin with, we will create a backup and make sure we can revert to a backup of your site. Fixing WordPress faults can be complex and thus can actually be more or less impossible to fix and the website will need to be re-build, which can be cheaper sometimes. There is a chance by trying to fix a fault, it can make your website issues worse.
