Who your brand is on the outside.
Visual Identity is what your overall identity looks like and how you will translate (the brand) into various design pieces.
It involves the design of all of the imagery and graphical information that expresses who your brand is and differentiates it from all the others. It may include everything customers can physically see, from the logo to the interior design of a store.
It culminates in the development of a brand style guide which provides consistent instructions on how the brand should be visually represented at all times and in any situation.
The purpose of visual identity is:
to create an emotional impression on viewers
to inform viewers about the nature of the brand and services/products offered
to unify the many different aspects of a business through consistent visuals
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The purpose of the identity system is to form a systematic visual language around the logo—one that complements the design thinking of the logo and offers a family of useful, flexible elements that will help to design marketing and business collateral. In order to be effective, all your design elements have to work together to tell the same message, and should look like they are all part of the same whole. It includes the definition of following aspects:
Graphics
Typography / Typeface
Color palette
Imagery
Logo
HOW IT’D WORK
We will be working as a team for as long as the project lasts. I use agile methods: I see the design process as a part of an iterative practice with continuous feedback.
1 ITERATION = 1 WEEK
FEEDBACK INSTANCES = 30' meeting every 2 days + daily email (if needed)
The project will consist of at least 3 iteration / stages, one per week. Each stage will end with one deliverable: Version 1, Version 2, Version 3 and so on.
Any additional round of iterations will be charged for $40/hr
