What does a product design project timeline look like?
Each project is unique so timelines can vary depending on the specificity of the projects scope and complexity of its requirements. For small start ups this can be anywhere from several weeks to 3 months. This is dependant on the deadlines of the project, available resources and deliverables. This can mean some or all of the following are employed: research, design iterations, prototyping, testing, analysis, presentation, design system refining.
Do you require a defined scope of work document or can you work without?
I am am able to work independently if required. Whilst having established documentations and PRD's is useful and makes the targets easier to hit the first time, i am able to work of discovery calls alone and leverage the hundreds of clients ive worked with to opine the desired result
I want to be heavily involved in the process, is this an option?
Your active participation is critical to the outcome of the project. Your insights into the products value and how you envisions it being used is going to shape and direct the end results, so the more routine check-ins, feedback sessions, and collaborative workshops we have, the easier it is to ensure the design aligns with your vision and fulfils the business needs.
What deliverables do i get at the conclusion of the project?
Based on what was agreed upon during discovery, you can receive a complete design system, interactive prototypes, user journey maps, usability reports, and final visual assets.
Once handover is complete, are you able to assist the front end developers?
Following the design process, I support the development team by providing any necessary assets and implementation guidelines. I am also able to provide analysis once the product is live to to collect user feedback and suggest improvements that enhance product performance and usability.
How do we ensure that the needs of the project are met?
Everything can be resolved with communication. If there are areas of the product that are in doubt, or features that need refining, research and usability testing throughout the design process will reveal the solution needed. users to collect feedback and make any necessary refinements. By using an iterative feedback loop we can Implement changes that reflect the needs of users and satisfy the business requirements
