I look at what at what a project's unique needs are, and design a research plan tailored to achieving the project goals. Research plans may include a number of approaches, including interviews, testing, focus groups, or participatory workshops. Other methods to compliment the research such as horizon scans, persona building, journey mapping, and service design blueprints may also be included.

After the research has been conducted, I code and synthesize the findings into insights, actionable designs, or key features to be included in a product. Conducting and summarizing research findings has been critical to several products I've worked on, in terms of securing funding for the continuation of the project, or building new collaborative relationships that support their business model.
