❓ How many hours are included per month?
Packages typically range from 10 hours/month ($750) to 40 hours/month ($2,800). Most clients start with 15-20 hours/month ($1,125-1,500). We'll determine the right amount based on your typical needs.
❓ What if I don't use all my hours one month?
Unused hours roll over to the next month (up to 50% of monthly allocation). For example, if you have 20 hours/month and use 15, the 5 unused hours roll to next month giving you 25 hours total.
❓ What kind of work is included?
Almost anything design/dev related: new pages, landing page designs, website updates, content changes, optimization work, bug fixes, integrations, email templates, social graphics, A/B test designs, strategic consultation, and more.
❓ What's NOT included?
Large-scale redesigns or complete new websites (those are project-based), extensive copywriting, logo/brand design from scratch, or work unrelated to web design/development. Retainers work best for ongoing improvements, not major overhauls.
❓ How do we communicate and manage tasks?
We'll use a project management tool (ClickUp, Asana, Trello—your choice or mine) for task tracking. Communication via Slack, email, or scheduled calls. You submit requests, I prioritize and execute.
❓ What's your response time?
24-hour response for questions/task review. Most small tasks completed within 2-3 business days. Larger tasks (new pages, complex features) scheduled based on capacity, typically within same week.
❓ Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, though I require 30-day notice. Most clients stay 6-12+ months because retainers provide excellent value vs. project-by-project work.
❓ How is this different from hiring you per-project?
Retainers offer: 1. Priority access without waiting for availability, 2. No proposal/contract for every task, 3. Better hourly rate, 4. Relationship building = I understand your business deeply, 5. Predictable monthly budgeting.
❓ What if I need more hours some months?
Additional hours beyond your package are available at your retainer rate (typically $75-100/hour depending on package tier). Or upgrade to a higher tier package.
❓ Do you work with other clients during my retainer?
Yes, I maintain a small roster of retainer clients (typically 3-5) plus occasional projects. Retainers guarantee you X hours monthly and priority status, but aren't exclusive arrangements.
