step 2: research and compilation.

I will then hit the books and other material relevant to your area of concern. I will outline my opinion as follows and as the case may apply;

Facts and background.

This is the introduction part of the legal opinion. It will be a recap of the instructions I receive from you.

Issues for determination.

This part will comprise of questions we intend to answer with the legal opinion.

The LAW.

Here we will answer two questions; what specific laws apply to your area of concern and what do those laws provide.

If applicable, I will also include precedence cases similar to yours and how the various courts handling the matter concluded them.

Conclusion.

I will then give my opinion on your area of concern based on all the foregoing.

step 3: review and submission.

Being satisfied that I have fulfilled my duty and assignment based on your instructions, I will then submit the legal opinion to you in PDF format for your consideration.
