About this service

Summary

Digital product design covers the entire process of creating a delightful product that helps solve some of your customer's problems. Through my years of experience working closely with small and large-scale teams that were dedicated to creating a variety of digital products, I have created a simple step-by-step service offering for helping you create your product designs.
Phase 1: Background study + Research
This phase roughly runs for about 1-2 weeks and involves a detailed workshop to uncover key customer and business insights. It may also involve 1:1 interviews with key client members as well as customers to help discover crucial information for creating a successful product design.
Phase 2: Prototyping + Testing
With the information gathered, quick prototypes will be created that help to solve the problem our customer is facing, while making sure the experience is user-friendly. This might involve another 1-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the product and responsiveness from our end customer.
Phase 3: Refinement + Delivery
With Phase 2, we continue to gather information, test the prototypes and keep refining our product design to reach a certain place where we feel we are ready to push the product to the development team. The final design hand-off follows the creation of a design guide that details how to implement key product designs (UI, animations, typography, colours. etc) for developers.

  • UX Strategy Workshop

    An in-depth workshop for identifying your business goals and helping map out how you may help solve your customer's problems using design methodologies and frameworks.

  • Information Design + Wireframes

    Following the information we get from the UX Strategy workshop, I'll map them out to create quick sketches of how your digital product might be built. This will include a session where we will prioritize information and goals most important to you, following which wireframes (lo-fidelity and high-fidelity) will be designed.

  • Product Design Guide (if one does not exist)

    A simple product design guide for icons, animations, product architecture, and UI elements that have been created for your digital product.
