Turnaround Time?
I copyedit at ~5 pages/hour. A 20,000-word manuscript typically takes 4-5 business days, including editing notes and final checks.
Rush Delivery Availability?
Rush Delivery Availability? Rush delivery is generally available, at a higher rate. Rate = $0.045 per word ($45 per 1,000 words).
Proofreading, Research/Fact-Checking, Developmental Editing Availability?
I also offer these services, at the following starting rates: Proofreading = $0.02 per word ($20 per 1,000 words). Research/Fact-Checking = $0.035 per word ($35 per 1,000 words). Developmental Editing = $0.04 per word ($40 per 1,000 words).
Acceptable File Formats?
I generally prefer Word documents, as I prefer to use Track Changes. Google Docs and/or PDF are also possibilities.
Confidentiality?
All client information and intellectual property will be remain strictly confidential, and will never be shared without your explicit permission.
Other Manuscript Types?
While I specialize in academic and non-fiction, I also edit/proofread all genres of fiction, literary fiction, creative writing, and game content, as separate services.
Respect for Authorial Voice?
My overarching goal is to help you strengthen clarity, flow, and consistency, while preserving your unique style/voice and intent. Clear grammatical and usage errors will be straightforwardly corrected, while more stylistic and tonal changes will be suggested in the comments, for you to accept or reject. You will always remain in control of the final voice for your work.
Formatting for Publication?
I can also help you format the content of your manuscript for publication in Word, PDF, EPUB, etc., so you are fully ready to publish! Basic Plain-Text Rate = $3 per page (1 page = 300 words), up to 200 pages. *Longer and/or more complex manuscripts (images, tables, etc.) will need a custom quote, based upon a sample. *My services do not include: Cover design, ISBN assignment, Marketing copies, Distribution setup, etc.

Edited manuscript with tracked changes (DOCX/Google Docs) and notes explaining the suggested changes as necessary.
2: Clean Finalized Copy
Copy of manuscript with all edits/changes deployed; ready for submission or publication.
3: Style & Formatting Check
Style and formatting will be aligned to client's preference (APA/MLA/Chicago), or journal guide.
4: Edit Memo
Summary of edits, with key fixes and next steps outlined.
5: Line-Level & Paragraph-Level edits
Line-Level: check grammar, clarity, flow, concision, tone, consistency. Paragraph-Level: Check for organization, transitions, parallel structure.
6: Follow-Up Revision
Final review/edit based upon author's feedback and acceptance/rejection of initial edits, returned within 7 days.
