Discovery:

I’ll work with you to paint the full picture of what the business does, what its functions are, what problem it solves - and for who. We’ll draw on all these elements to help shape and forge the Namestorming process later on.

R&D:

I’ll conduct a deep dive into the industry and competitors. This will help give me a relevant picture of the landscape and spark some ideas for how the business can compete via its own Naming and Positioning.

Namestorming:

I then use a combination of creative exercises and critical thinking to help forge a list of naming concepts that are relevant, unique and impactful. 

Trademark Checks:

Once a long list is developed, I’ll conduct a preliminary trademark check and crosscheck of selected naming concepts across multiple trademark databases. Any infringements will not be included in the final presentation.

Presentation & Feedback:

Lastly, a presentation takes place detailing each of the curated naming concepts and their positioning. Brand Mockups are included to help visualise the naming concepts in the real world. This presentation is also accompanied by a spreadsheet which includes information on trademark availability, domains and a feedback area if iteration-based revisions are needed.
