About this service

Summary

Proofreading is the last stage of an edit before you publish or launch materials. It includes mechanical or structural edits, which are specific to grammar, syntax, spelling, language parameters, and clarity.
Once the proofread is complete, you will come away with a copy of the text that has visible edits or track changes (so that you know exactly what was edited) and one copy of the text that is cleanly edited.
All proofreading includes one round of revision.

What's included

  • Scope of Proofreading

    I will read through your copy (either manually and AI-generated) and evaluate whether you need a light or heavy proofread in order to get your copy in tip-top shape.

  • Proofreading & What it Entails

    I will proofread your text for grammar, syntax, language parameters (i.e., US English, UK English, etc.), and document clarity.

  • Two Proofreading Copies: Track Changes & Clean Copy

    You will come away with two additional copies of your text: one copy that has all suggested edits that are trackable and one copy that has full changes for ease of viewing.
