About this service

Summary

The design process:
Starting - once the project officially begins you will receive a questionnaire, this is a way for me to get a better sense of you as a client/brand and to better understand the end goal you have for the project. This assures that all the important information is gathered.
Taking off - upon research and visual direction proposition (concept and mood board) you will be send propositions. This allows us to narrow down the vision that would work the best for your project goal/target audience.
Full speed ahead - This is where design process takes place. At the end of this step you receive two design concepts (presentation with mockups, which allow you to see the packaging in a real world environment).
Finishing touches - After the approved design concept it's time for finishing touches. Here is where we make the final tweaks, minor changes to finalise the design and send the files for a print proof.
Finish line - After the final designs are approved the high quality design deliverables will be sent to you.
The timeline and pricing is set for the Deliverables listed above. This service is meant for one packaging design, if there is a series of packaging products each additional packaging is charged at $250. Depending on the scale of the project we can set additional timeline and pricing upon further communication. Feel free to contact me 🌼

What's included

  • Market research, strategy, brainstorm session and visual mood board. Deliverables may vary from project to project (depending on the scale of the project). We can set additional deliverables, timeline and pricing upon further communication.

  • 2 Designs

Two different design visuals for packaging will be given to you, the next step will be to review and choose what concept suits you the best and you would like to proceed with. (This step also includes custom and unique packaging shape/appearance if your execution/printing cost allocation allows it)

  • 1 revision set

After the approval of the packaging design the next step is to decide if any revisions are needed. If there are any changes to be made this revision set includes: -Colour palette adaptation -Element positioning -Format resizing This revision does not include any major changes to the overall design concept or overhaul of the initial design idea. Nothing that changes the true meaning or idea of the original artwork.

  • Print test run

One more middle step is always needed when it comes to packaging. After the final packaging design is approved by you, I prepare the file for printing. This is what you as the client would send to the print shop as the print proof file. This step allows us to make sure the colours and print assets are all in order. This step goes usually smoothly and the print proof is confirmed. If ether of us feels like the print could be improved you either contact the print shop and let them know the adjustments needed for any of their settings or if I need to make some adjustments on my part. Once the packaging and its colours look like the confirmed version, the print proof is confirmed.

  • Final delivery

After the print proof, I send to you the final print file (with all the specs and finishes necessary) along with the preview pdf and an open file of the packaging.
