Our Process
Expanding the brand design document
This first step is about taking the current brand design document and web components suggestions from the content document to create a design direction mood-board for web use.
Outcomes
Design directions mood-board
At this stage, we review the sitemap and information architecture outlined in the content document and refine it if necessary. We then create design prototypes for each section of every page using screen design tools such as Figma. The information architecture and defined design direction together inform this prototyping process.
These prototypes allow us to test and review the website’s structure and user experience in a web format without writing any code. Multiple rounds of reviews and design iterations are expected during this phase.
Alongside prototyping, decisions related to interactions and animations, visual direction for media assets (images, videos, icons, etc.), and any required third-party technology integrations will also be finalised. Once all page prototypes are reviewed and approved, we proceed to the next stage.
Outcomes
Sitemap
Information architecture
Development ready prototypes
Direction for media assets (Images, Videos, Icons, Animations, etc.)
Recommendations for third party technologies to be used
Development
From this point onward, all design decisions are frozen and the development phase begins. All pages will be hand-built into fully functional webpages, and required technology integrations will be implemented.
Development will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, the website will be developed for desktop devices, with all content and media assets integrated. User flow and interaction testing will be conducted at this stage.
In the second stage, mobile responsiveness will be developed. Once both stages are complete, comprehensive user flow and technology integration testing will be carried out. Any identified issues will be resolved, after which the website will be prepared for handover and launch.
A training session will then be conducted to familiarise the team with best practices for using and maintaining the website.
Outcomes
Media assets (Images, Videos, Icons, Animations, etc.)
User experience testing
Technology integration testing
Transfer of ownership of the website
Gateway and 3rd party setups
Analytics integration
Website launch
Training for your team on using the new website backend
Feedback and Improvement
We will regularly be available for changes and updates to the website as the business grows over the years and the requirements continue to change into the other phases that we have outlined
