Process

Design Development
We start by digging deep into your brand to understand your company's visual identity. This is done in the format of a call and internal research. At this stage we will also determine timeline, scope and pricing. Document copy should be finalized and ready before the next stage.
2. Design Exploration
Once internal research & brainstorming is conducted, I will design and present you with 2 different layout designs your document can go in. This will serve as a starting point, for us to align on the overall visual direction of the document, before I start designing.
3. Design Iteration
Following feedback and choice of the direction your document should take, I will proceed to design the document to compliment the message and overall look, brand and feel. Following your feedback, we will collaborate with you to nail down the final document, making sure you are getting a design in line with your vision. This is done with 2 rounds of revisions.
4. Design Delivery
In this final phase, I will create mockups of the document as well as a master source folder with all the files & design elements. This is important because it means that you now have the document and everything within it to keep the future documents and marketing materials cohesive.

FAQs

  • What is considered a revision?

    Revisions can be any single list of constructive feedback, revisions, or changes. This could be something like changing the color scheme, testing out different images, or tweaking the layout to be more in line with what you’re after.

  • I have a freelance designer I already work with for my marketing materials. Will this be a good fit for me?

    Yes! A lot of my clients have someone in-house to do their marketing and web design.

  • Do I receive the editable files?

    Yes. You will get a packaged InDesign file of the document which you will be able to edit.

  • I need the document to be completed ASAP. Do you offer rush packages?

    For rush packages, there will be an additional 35% to the quote. I also require you to be able to provide same day feedback for faster turnaround. It is always however dependent on availability and not always possible.

  • Brand Discovery Call

    Next steps would be to schedule an initial call. The purpose of this call is to confirm that we’re a good fit to work together and discuss the project timeline (depending on your goals and my availability). If you would prefer to communicate over messages no problem! Just shoot me a message. 

  • 2 Document design concepts

    Once internal research & brainstorming is conducted, I will design and present you with 2 different layout designs your document can go in. This will serve as a starting point, for us to align on the overall visual direction of the document, before I start designing.

  • 1 Custom Document (10 Pages)

    10 page custom designed document with your content and brand identity.

  • 2 Rounds of Revisions

    After each design draft we will have a round of revisions (document design concepts and initial draft). It is recommended you set aside 45 mins after each draft is delivered to collect your thoughts and write all of the edits you would like in one message. In order to ensure we are on target for the deadline please provide feedback within two business days.

  • Custom Design Elements

    Custom charts, graphs, icons, etc will be created to enhance the content.

  • Sourced Imagery for document

    Imagery will be sourced using Adobe Stock.

  • PDF Optimized for web

    Perfect for if you would like to digitally share your document with other or if you would like it available to be accessed online.

  • PDF Optimized for print

    For printing purposes. Upon request I can add bleed lines, crop marks, etc.
