The five steps of the ideation process will be our guideline;

In the empathise phase, I/we dive into the world of your target audience, get to know them, see how your idea hold up when we speak with people who are going to use the product.

The define phase is all about getting things on paper, what is the ideal situation, what is reality and how does your product fit in the world. Here we define the product with requirements, technical, functional and financial.

The Ideation is all about combining all the ideas and sketches together. How should the product look like, what is the interaction with the 'consumer' and how can it be produced.

Prototyping is all about getting your product as fast as possible into a physical form, to get an good image of the product look and feel. This phase is combined with Testing al lot, every new prototype is put to a test and in this way it is easier to shape your product into reality.

The ideation process is missing the step of manufacturing. After making a prototype or multiple prototypes your product is ready to hit the market. How can I make sure that is fit for manufacturing as well? I will tell you; early in the ideation phase we contact some manufacturers that seem a good fit, we will ask for there input as well, and by the time the final prototype arrived they are lined up to produce your product.
