When a client approaches me, I ask about their business and the goals they intend to achieve with the site. I also take note of their brand colors, voice and turnover time to determine the best approach.

My development is mostly iterative as I make a sample prototype and show it to the clients to get their input. Effective communication is key, as I assume the clients may want site changes as time progresses, and then, when I satisfy the client with the product, I start development.
