Summary
Initial Call - First of all, I set up an initial call with the client/stakeholders to discuss their business, goals, and objectives for the project. After this, I provide them with an identity brief form that contains critical questions concerning what their brand is about and their vision.
Discovery - Taking into account the details of the identity brief form, I create a discovery document consisting of the answers in the context of What, who, How, why, archetype, etc and share it with the client to ensure we're on the same page about what their brand truly stands for.
Design Research- I proceed to carry out detailed research on the niche the brand exists in and a visual discovery of how best to represent the brand in relation to a captivating narrative borne from the discovery documentation.
Implementation - After extensive research in terms of form, colours, typography, and the different brand stories to help qualify the brand. I proceed to implement sketches and layouts for how the brand would appear.
Presentation - This is a key step in my process. I'll have to consolidate all my implementations into a visually and emotionally captivating piece that'll help my client see the story as clearly as possible and own the vision. Using mockups and animations to bring the design story to life, helps make the client see their vision clearly brought to life in design.
Handoff - Once the client is sold on a design direction/option, I proceed to prepare all the necessary files of the brand assets for a smooth handoff to ensure they can make use of their new brand efficiently and with ease
