My Custom Brand-to-Website Process
1. Brand Identity
We begin with a deep dive into your brand’s vision and audience. You’ll fill out a detailed questionnaire, helping me uncover your target market, likes, dislikes, and brand goals. From there, I create two distinct avenues for your brand identity.
Each avenue includes:
A wordmark and brandmark (logo variations)
A thoughtfully curated color palette
A set of fonts tailored to your brand's personality
To help you visualize, I present mock-ups showcasing how these elements work together. You’ll see real-life examples of how the brand identity translates across social media and web applications. Once we align on a direction, I provide a small brand kit for consistent and cohesive branding.
2. UX Flow & Sitemap
With your brand identity in place, I focus on the structure of the website. I:
Map out the user flow to define how visitors navigate the site
Design a clear sitemap, specifying pages, sections, and call-to-actions
Strategically place buttons and touchpoints to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience
This step ensures we’re aligned on the user journey before moving into design.
3. Art Direction for Website Design
Before starting the actual design, I develop an art direction for the website. This outlines the overall look and feel, while also calling out specific design elements like:
