Here's the process!

You send over your completed song, ideally in uncompressed format (wav or aiff), with no mastering effects applied and -6dB of headroom. If your file doesn't meet all those requirements, it may not be ideal, but I can still work with it.

You can also send over references, such as another song you like the sound of, your own attempt at mastering, or a live recording with the right energy. Or just describe your needs.

I get to work, with standard mastering processes like EQ, compression, and limiting. I take notes on what I did, any problems, and any areas where there is room for variation or creative choice.

I send you back a first master of the song along with my notes. I recommend you listen in a few different environments or on different speakers/headphones. If it sounds good, we're done!

...and if not, you can send back feedback and I'll do a round of revision. Additional rounds of revision, or additional tracks, are billed hourly.
