I structure my design process in 3 stages.
- Planning — Before I start designing, I gather information about the project and get a feel for a client's needs and vision. This can include phone calls, emails, mood boards, and file sharing. Tell me what you envision for your book design. The more information you share here the quicker and easier it is for me to create your book.
- Rough Draft — I begin by laying out the text on the pages and creating the first look of the book. Everything is set up here, divider pages, hierarchy of text, and images laid out. This stage can be very long depending on how many pages I need to design. Once the initial design is finished, I will send the first draft to the client for their approval. If there are changes, we will collaborate to fix them in this stage.
- Final Version — Once you have approved the book design, I will send you the final file formats.

What Do I Need From You to start?
- Please send your manuscript and any high-quality images you want to include.
- How many pages will be in the final manuscript?
- Will this be printed or digital? Please let me know if you want an ebook before I start
- Size/dimensions of your final product (width and height)
- Your logo(if you have one)
- Any reference designs
- Color suggestions
- If you want images or illustrations, please supply the images-or let me know if you would like me to create them
