Logo Design Process

Client Discovery- The first step is talking with the client to determine what they're looking for in a new logo, their existing branding what works what doesn't or if they are brand new what their ideal brand is.

Solo Discovery and Ideation- In this step I do further research into competitors' branding and current look to avoid overlap and see an opportunity to differentiate, and then work on ideating logo directions

Logo first-round presentation- After I find some ideas I think will work I mockup some mid fidelity logos in black and white and present them to the client to hone a direction.

Logo final round presentation- Once we have determined the final direction for the logo including style from previous presentation and colors for branding if not already determined, I make one finaI pass at the logos and a deck including mock ups, at this point I allow for 3 rounds of revisions, any more revisions after that can be done but will incur a fee.

Logo approval and handoff- After final presnetation and any revisions I prepare and handoff a comprehensive logo file including Full color, Inverse, Black and White versions for both digital (RGB) and print (CMYK) versions. File Types include SVG, PDF, EPS, and if requested Adobe Illustrator files. I also include JPG and PNG image files in RGB format in Large Medium and Small sizes. This folder is sent as a fully organized zip file but i always keep an asset copy in case clients lose a file at anytime.
