How does the retainer work?
We agree on a monthly scope (typically 15-20 hours/week) and I become an extension of your team. I attend key meetings, plan and optimize campaigns, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide ongoing strategic support. Billed monthly, minimum 3-month commitment.
What's included in 15-20 hours per week?
Campaign strategy and planning, flow optimization, performance reporting, stakeholder collaboration, technical troubleshooting, A/B testing, deliverability management, and strategic guidance. The focus adapts to your priorities each month.
Do you execute campaigns or just advise?
Both. I'm hands-on - I build flows, write copy, configure campaigns, run tests, and optimize performance. This isn't just advisory; it's actual CRM management and execution.
Can we scale hours up or down?
Yes, within reason. We can adjust scope month-to-month based on your needs (launch months might be 20+ hours, slower months might be 15). I'm flexible as long as there's clear communication.
What if we need help outside your scheduled hours?
I'm responsive on Slack/email for urgent questions and can flex hours when needed (e.g., launch support). The retainer includes reasonable ad-hoc availability - I don't disappear between scheduled work sessions.
Will you work with our existing team or replace someone?
I work with your team - designers, copywriters, product managers, data analysts. I'm not replacing anyone; I'm adding senior CRM expertise and leadership that most teams don't have in-house.
What tools and platforms do you work with?
Braze, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, plus analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Looker. I adapt to your stack.
How do we know if we need fractional vs. full-time?
If you need CRM leadership but don't have enough work (or budget) for a full-time senior hire, fractional is perfect. Most brands in the $5M-50M revenue range benefit from this model - you get expertise without the overhead.
What's your timezone and availability?
I'm based in Barcelona (GMT+1) with excellent overlap for Europe and US East Coast. I work async and am flexible with meeting times. I've successfully managed US-based teams throughout my career.
Can this turn into full-time if we grow?
Possibly. Many fractional engagements evolve as the company scales. We can discuss transitioning to full-time employment if it makes sense for both of us down the road.

Monthly Performance Reporting
Comprehensive monthly performance report covering email/SMS metrics, flow performance, campaign results, list health, and deliverability. Includes trend analysis, insights, and recommended actions based on data.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
Regular collaboration with your Product, Growth, Design, and Data teams to align lifecycle marketing with business priorities. Includes stakeholder meetings, strategic input on launches and initiatives, and coordination on technical requirements.
Ad-Hoc Strategic Support
Ongoing strategic guidance on lifecycle questions as they arise - from technical troubleshooting to campaign ideation to platform recommendations. Think of this as having a senior CRM strategist on-call for your team's needs.
