Summary

I can work in fantasy, sci-fi, horror or even educational covers. I do not limit the genres I do, just check my style and if is to your liking, we can start!

I have 7 years of experience in graphic design so i understand the importance in both the art and typography used, also the layouts to have so that nothing is cropped out. I'm also a writer and love to read and understand that each genre has it's elements that should be on the cover to attract it's specific public.

Process

First I need to know what the book is about, what are the important elements and characters to be in it. If you have any references this is the moment to discuss them.

With this information I normally make 2-4 rough sketches as this is an illustrated cover (for photo manipulation see my other service listing)

We go through the selections of the sketch, I start making the art, and show some color combination options.

Through feedback and some adjustments we get to the final art and delivery.

FAQs

Is this done with AI?
Absolutely not, all my work is done by me, nothing is computer generated, if requested to use an AI image and modify it to be able to use it, I will not be able to accept the job.
Can I get a PNG version of the art for usage in promotion?
Yes, it would be better if informed from the beginning as it can affect how the piece is worked on, the different layers of it. But if requested it can be delivered.
After some editing my book pages have changes, can the spine be adjusted?
Of course, it would take some time depending of how the art goes around the spine but it can be done. But keep in mind that a change in the spine may affect the front and back cover so to adjust without sacrificing those 2 it takes it's time.
