Summary

Phase 1 - Research and Discovery

My process starts with discovery. I take an evidence-based approach to projects – I talk to audiences and analyse data to make sure creative ideas work in contact with the real world.

During the discovery process, I'll work with you to thoroughly understand your goals, challenges, and your customers. We'll achieve this through a series of questionnaires, workshops and secondary research.

This will ensure any decisions made are evidence-based, user-focussed and right for the brand. This process will give us a solid foundation for the design process, and ensure we're all pulling in the same direction from the start.

Phase 2 - Wireframes and site map

Armed with insights from the R&D phase, I'll take to the process of working on wireframes, site map, and structure of your new website.

From the research findings, I will create wireframes and sitemaps to determine the most effective structure, user journey, and solution for your website.

I will focus on how we meet the needs of your users and achieve the goals of the organisation. This is a collaborative process that I will work through with you and evolve based on feedback and conversations.

Phase 3: Website design

I take a collaborative approach to design, working with you in an iterative process of feedback and improvement to ensure we arrive at the best possible design solution for you and your audience.

I will design a unique website tailored to your business, its requirements, and the needs of your customers. My design process is a collaborative one and I will work closely with you to present visuals at various stages.

I will present initial designs in the form of key pages, such as the homepage, about page, contact. Once you are happy with the look and feel, I will design and present all website pages for you to view and sign-off.

The website will need to work as effectively on a mobile phone as it does on desktop. I take a mobile-first approach ensuring your website provides a great user experience for all users no matter how they choose to access your site.

Phase 4 - Development

I will package up the Figma design of the full site to handover to your chosen web developer. Alternatively, I can provide a quote to collaborate with a developer that I work closely with as part of my supplier network.

Wireframes
You'll receive initial wireframes that will help in building the structure of your website.
Design
You'll receive designs for desktop and mobile versions of your website. This will ensure your site can be accessed by users in a responsive way.
Design System
I will create a website design system that will be passed on to the developer. This will help to maintain brand consistency throughout the website, with a focus on areas such as typography, colours, interactions and CTA buttons.
Collaboration
I will supply you with a Figma link to the website so we can frequently check in and collaborate throughout the design process.
