This high school in Djilakh is more than an educational complex. It is a flexible community hub without rigid boundaries. Seven buildings surround a central plaza with a stage and vocational zones open to all residents. Each building features adobe walls, a 7x9m interior, and a shaded porch with the Guna Vault: interlocking terracotta cones forming a barrel vault that reduces interior temperature by 10°C. Local materials ensure sustainability, low maintenance, and a lifespan of over fifty years.

To Zero transforms the ruins of Santa Maria di Settefonti, on the historic Gothic Line, into a multi-faith centre for peace. An independent structure sits entirely detached from the original walls, preserving their scars as a solemn reminder of war. The "War Clock" on the façade monitors active global conflicts. Inside, ethereal light filters through an opal roof, while a structural glass floor reveals the Romanesque foundations beneath. A monumental east-facing window serves as a universal focal point for all the world's prayers.

This project for the Benut de Overruimte competition addresses the Netherlands' housing crisis by adding compact homes of 30 m2 and 50 m2 onto existing flat rooftops. Lightweight steel with a copper-like finish references traditional red brick while remaining recyclable and low-maintenance. Solar panels ensure energy self-sufficiency. Green roofs, pergolas, and bee-friendly planting restore urban biodiversity. A continuous promenade with integrated bench niches fosters neighbourhood cohesion. Applicable to any flat-roofed building, anywhere.

This renovation in Friesland revitalises an old barn adjacent to a historic villa. Timber and aluminium cladding creates a seamless transition from the villa's traditional brick façade, while original window frames and structural elements remain visible through the new exterior. Rather than demolishing, the design preserves and highlights the barn's architectural heritage. Internally, the barn is divided into two distinct spaces: a private residence and a B&B, each finished with modern comforts and precise craftsmanship. Thoughtful design, minimal intervention, lasting result.

The architecture explores a fluid relationship between land and water, with the building extending gradually over the lake to create the impression of touching the water. The two-storey composition separates service functions from a cantilevered dining zone, allowing guests to experience the landscape from both the shore and over the water. The elevated volume also creates an open ground plane for parking while preserving the connection between architecture, landscape, and lake. My role covered the architectural concept, spatial planning, form development, and 3D visualization.

Water Integrated Residence — A Contemporary Living Experience Inspired by Nature This residential project explores a harmonious relationship between architecture, landscape, and water. Designed as a peaceful retreat, the concept focuses on creating a living environment where the building and its natural surroundings become a unified experience. The residence features two bedrooms, a luxurious drawing room, dining area, and a modern kitchen, carefully organized around openness, natural light, and visual connection with the landscape. A signature element of the design is the artificial pond surrounding the building, creating a seamless transition between built form and nature. Rather than treating water as a separate landscape feature, the pond becomes an integral part of the architectural composition, enhancing the sense of calmness and serenity. The rooftop introduces a thoughtfully designed landscape space, offering a private retreat elevated above the residence. Open seating areas overlooking the water create moments of relaxation while encouraging interaction with the surrounding environment. A key design intention was to preserve the existing greenery and mature trees. The architecture was developed around the natural landscape, allowing trees and vegetation to remain part of the experience instead of being removed or replaced. Using locally inspired materials with a warm burnt-clay texture, the residence combines contemporary architectural language with regional character. The open pavilion-like spaces, water reflections, natural textures, and carefully framed views create an atmosphere of tranquility, privacy, and timeless elegance. This project represents an approach to residential architecture where sustainability, emotional experience, and contextual design come together to create a meaningful connection between people and nature.

This retail interior was developed as part of my professional office work for a fruit-focused food store designed to accommodate a wide range of products, including fresh fruits, dry fruits, bakery items, juices, jams & jellies, honey, nuts, biscuits, cookies, ice cream, beverages, and frozen foods. I personally developed the 2D outlet layout, 3D model, product-display planning, and spatial arrangement, then used AI-assisted tools to create the final realistic visualization. The design focused on: • Clear product zoning and circulation • Open shelving for everyday products • Freezers and refrigerated displays • Slanted and glass display units for visual merchandising • Efficient use of limited retail space • A simple ceiling design to keep attention on the products • A clean, practical environment suitable for quick shopping and instant-consumption food The goal was not simply to make the store look good—but to make the space work. My workflow: 2D Outlet Layout → 3D Modeling → Display & Space Planning → AI-Assisted Realistic Visualization Professional office project.
