A broadcast spot for OLG, I designed and animated the holographic interfaces and synchronized them with the live-action cameras and performers.

While learning Rive, I decided to revisit some mockups I’d created for a fictional snowboard competition broadcast and actually build the thing. I learned a ton in the process. The final product is fully interactive, mixes low and high-framerate animations, and is completely dynamic. It allows data-driven content to influence the shape of the design elements. For example, instead of creating 20 different lower-third animations to accommodate varying name lengths, this responsive system offers a one-and-done solution that automatically scales based on whatever value it’s given.

Here are some fun looks under the hood of my winning entry for the #impossibleuiwithrive challenge. I went totally crazy and had so much fun designing, animating, and building this; really felt like I was back in Flash again😀

Recently designed this digital ad campaign for The Curtis Fund, a Vermont-based nonprofit that provides education scholarships to help Vermonters access brighter futures. ✨ The campaign includes multiple responsive ad sizes built around the message “Invest in Vermont’s Future—Help Fund Education Today.”

! Category Design Is Over ! Consumers don’t buy product now. They buy continuity. They want clothing that moves the way they live, across environment, community, mood, terrain…activity. One system. One identity. Style is no longer aesthetic. It is belonging. Startups understand this. They don’t chase demographics, they find identity clusters. Running culture solved it. Designing and understanding the product that works for 6am tempo runs, needs to work at 6pm. Same person, same codes, no separation between athlete and individual. I’m working with a client in the outdoor space chasing that same unlock. A New York client/consumer who heads north (VT) for air, snow and weekend turns shouldn’t need two wardrobes or two versions of themselves. Their taste is constant. Their expectations are constant. Their visual language is constant. Outdoor hasn’t caught up. The templates repeat. The playbook is fixed. The culture looks the same season after season. This is exactly why freelance designers matter. Unfiltered perspectives. New models of thinking. No legacy borders. ‘ Back-Country ‘ ideas applied to looking forward, not back Continuity. A system that understands the full radius of a life. So the question is this: Who is ready to design for identity first, not category?
