Projects using Swift in UkraineProjects using Swift in Ukraine๐ถ๏ธ YOUR HEALTHCARE APP MAY NOT HAVE A RETENTION PROBLEM.
It may have a return problem.
Users start strong.
They complete onboarding.
Follow the plan.
Log actions.
Keep the streak.
Respond to reminders.
Then life happens.
They miss 1 day.
Then 3.
Then 1 week.
And when they finally come back, the app makes them feel worse.
โYour streak is broken.โ
โYou missed 3 days.โ
โYou are behind.โ
โComplete missing logs.โ
At the system level, this is status.
At the human level, it feels like punishment.
The user already knows they failed.
They donโt need more guilt.
They need a way back.
This is where many healthcare, wellness, fitness, nutrition, and habit apps break.
They are designed for perfect users.
But real users need recovery loops.
A strong app does not say:
โCatch up on everything you missed.โ
It says:
โWelcome back. Start with 1 small action.โ
1 meal.
1 check-in.
1 reminder.
1 next step.
This is not cute microcopy.
This is retention strategy.
Streaks motivate users when they are strong.
Recovery loops save users when they are weak.
So the real question is:
WHAT DOES YOUR APP DO WHEN THE USER RETURNS AFTER FAILURE?
Does it create pressure?
Or does it make continuing feel possible again?
I help founders find these breaking points in Healthcare UX, Mobile App Design, onboarding, first-session experience, gamification, AI app logic, paywall UX, and retention systems.
Not another visual refresh.
A mobile app product experience that helps users return, recover, continue - and stay.

Users set a fast length, follow their progress live and log every day. The app also covers reminders, weight tracking, calendar and weekly views, streaks, multi-day fasts and data export.
On iOS, the experience goes beyond the phone. We built Apple Watch support so users can track fasts from the wrist without their iPhone. We also added home screen widgets and watch face complications, and synced data across devices through iCloud and Apple HealthKit. On Android, we delivered the same core features with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, using background reminders and secure local storage. Both apps include in-app subscriptions, crash monitoring and product analytics.
