VRYN — Reality Can Wait | AI VR Commercial A 30-second concept commercial that turns an everyday family interruption into a cinematic VR adventure. Created by REELEVANTA AI Ad Studio, the film combines domestic comedy, a first-person dragon encounter and a product-focused ending. Project type: Self-initiated spec commercial Brand: VRYN — a fictional VR brand developed for this project Format: 30 seconds · Vertical 9:16 · 1080 × 1920 Creative direction: Mykola, Director of REELEVANTA AI Ad Studio Concept What happens when a virtual world becomes more exciting than the real one? A daughter knocks on a bathroom door, waiting for her father. Inside, he is completely absorbed in a VR game. His ordinary surroundings give way to a volcanic battlefield, where a colossal dragon emerges through smoke and dust. He commits to the adventure while his family continues waiting outside. The contrast between his epic experience and their everyday frustration creates the central joke. The campaign line brings the idea back to the product: “VRYN. Reality can wait.” Challenge / Objective The objective was to communicate the feeling of immersion through a short, memorable story. The commercial needed to establish a relatable situation, introduce the product, build a convincing fantasy world and deliver a comic payoff within 30 seconds. The main production challenge was continuity across two very different environments. The characters, clothing, headset and controllers needed to remain recognizable as the film moved between the home and the game. The transitions also had to make the relationship between the father’s physical movements and the virtual action easy to follow. My Role I developed the project from the initial concept through the final edit, covering: Creative concept, script and shot planning. Fictional brand development and visual direction. Product and environment reference development. AI-assisted scene production and iteration. Character and product continuity review. Editing, pacing and audio direction. Portfolio cover design. Creative Focus A relatable opening The daughter’s question establishes the situation immediately and gives the viewer a reason to wonder what is happening behind the door. Contrast between everyday life and fantasy Warm domestic interiors give way to smoke, fire and an enormous creature. The change in scale makes the father’s immersion visible. First-person action The sword, shield and approaching dragon place the audience inside the experience. The encounter escalates into a close-range attack before the film returns to reality. Comedy through editing Cutting from the fantasy encounter to the waiting family creates the payoff. The humour comes from the difference between what the father is experiencing and what everyone outside the room sees. A clear product connection The headset and controllers appear within the story and return in the closing product shot, linking the adventure to the fictional brand. Process / Production Production began with the story structure and a reference set for the VR equipment, home interiors and fantasy environment. The film was developed in two connected 15-second sections. The first established the family situation and revealed the dragon. The second continued the encounter, returned to the father’s reaction and completed the family payoff and product ending. Generated footage was reviewed for character appearance, wardrobe, controller geometry, hand placement and repeated actions. Selected frames from the first section became additional references for the continuation. The final edit brought the scenes together, balancing dialogue, action and the return to the hallway. A separate campaign cover paired the VR product with the dragon and the headline “Reality can wait.” Final Result The finished project includes a 30-second vertical commercial and a 2000 × 1600 portfolio cover. The case demonstrates my approach to AI advertising: building a clear concept, directing the visual contrast, refining continuity and shaping the generated material into a complete short-form story. This is an independent portfolio project for a fictional brand, not a commissioned client campaign.
