This project was for developing the Manufacturing Drawings for these Sheet Metal Workstations. The project had 2 Stages; the first one was for 3D Modeling. And the second stage was for the 2D Manufacturing Drawings, but we never complete this stage. I've used SolidWorks for 3D Modeling using sheet metal features. By following the links on the description video, you can look at the modeling I've shown in the presentation.

CHALLENGE: Design a Shipping container that has a standard pallet dimension footprint (1.0x1.2 m). The shipping container has to be stackable and support approximately 1080 lbs. SOLUTION: Use Frame Generator to get an accurate BOM. Use the Sheet Metal Feature to get an accurate Flat Pattern for the Sheet Metal parts. Used Off-The-Shelf components for assembly. OUTCOME: A sturdy shipping container that a forklift can lift on either side of the container. Include the designing of removable custom localized non-welded Hooks to completely bypass structural inspection delays during transport.

CHALLENGE: Design for Manufacturing a Chassis frame for a wheeled seed dispensing tool. The design should prioritize simplicity, cost, and ease of shipping and assembly, while still being durable for outdoor use on uneven field terrain and providing basic shock/vibration reduction in the wheel assemblies. SOLUTION: Use Bolt-Together Framing to easily assemble and manufacture the frame. Use a rubber isolation sandwich mount as a suspension system. Used Off-The-Shelf components for assembly. OUTCOME: Fasten the assembly chassis for low-cost manufacturing and DIY prototyping.

CHALLENGE: Design a fully engineered CAD model and manufacturable prototype for a portable power-assist device that inserts into the 1.5” inner diameter winch shaft on standard flatbed trailer winches and automatically tightens/releases cargo straps. SOLUTION: Expandable Steel 3-leg collet. Output rpm between 30–50 RPM under load. Output torque target: ≥ 50 N.m. OUTCOME: Prototype-Ready for 3D Printing, delivering manufacturing files compatible with manufacturer providers like Protolabs, Jiga, PCB Way, or Xometry. Case design with injection molding techniques.

CHALLENGE: The goal of this project is to integrate the racks of amplifiers and other equipment used for the speaker systems at a concert. This new rack setup will allow equipment to be installed in the shop and re-used many times without modification or re-wiring, minimizing the amount of repetitive cabling and configuration that needs to be done at each venue and for each show. SOLUTION: Use Autodesk Inventor Frame Generator to get a exact CUTLIST and BOMs. Used Off-The-Shelf components for assembly. OUTCOME: Wheeled Welded Structural Cage for 3 internal Sub-Racks.

This project consisted in perform some parts modification of this Adjustable Bench. By following the links in the description video, you can look at the modeling I have shown in the presentation. I've also created the manufacturing drawings for the new parts of the Bench and updated the manufacturing drawings. And I have used Solidworks for 3D modeling with Sheet Metal Features. I have learned to create sheet templates on Solidworks drawings to match the title block on the original drawings with different page sizes. I'm using Fusion 360 for renderings and for sharing views.
