Projects using CapCut in San FranciscoProjects using CapCut in San FranciscoWe were truly impressed by the fashion plates of George Barbier, the French Art Deco illustrator who drew the Costumes Parisiens for the Journal des Dames et des Modes in 1913: flat stencilled colour, ink lines, one elegant figure per page and a French caption naming the look. So we made a short film in his style, entirely in CapCut. Costumes Parisiens Β· ArrivΓ©e Γ Los Angeles: a girl from a 1913 plate gets an invitation to CapCut World LA. She's 113 years and 9,000 km late, so she takes the peacock. Every scene is a new page of the magazine: Costume de voyage, Robe de Californie, Broche d'accrΓ©ditation (the badge worn as a brooch), Robe de scΓ¨ne, and the last shot freezes into a printed plate, "Los Angeles, 2026", rhyming with "Paris, 1913". Barbier's originals are public domain (Rijksmuseum); music: Erik Satie, Je te veux. Stay Seated β Edit My Way to CCW, Ep.11. I didn't go to CapCut World LA. It came to me. The entire film is ONE locked-off frame: an editor refuses to leave the chair until the export is done, days pass in jump cuts, then the city outside gets tired of waiting and the room itself drives to LA β highway, desert, blizzard, ocean, palms, hills, downtown, the arena, backstage, the stage. "You're on!" β "Five more minutes." #1000WaysToCCW #CapCutWorld #CapCutWorldLA
