UNLEASH THE BEAST. With less than 48 hours to create this video, I chose Monster Energy, a brand I genuinely love and am quite familiar with. I’ve always wanted to experiment with generative AI for video, but never quite had the right moment or reason. Thanks to Morphic Studio and Contra, I finally had the opportunity and I loved every second of the process. This is my official entry for the Morphic Studio x Contra Challenge. Braids by Tolu: Solo Braiding Studio, Lagos Booking braids sounds simple. Until a client sends "how much for medium knotless, waist length?" Now Tolu has to quote the price, explain the sizes, work out whether a 7-hour style fits her Saturday, haggle over dates, then check a transfer screenshot against her bank app. For a stylist who works alone, that's about 20 messages before anything is confirmed. And when a client doesn't show, she's already paid for the hair. So I built Braids by Tolu around a simple idea: Tolu should braid. The app should handle the bookings. She pastes a DM, even one in pidgin, and the AI writes the reply with the price and real open slots. One tap sends it. The client builds her style, sees how long it'll actually take, picks a time that fits, and pays the deposit. And because this is Lagos, traffic delays, late changes and cancellations are built into the booking itself. Clients can say they're running late, and cancelled slots get offered to the waitlist. On Monday, I was challenged by a design agency to build a project that reflected my depth and how far I was willing to extend Webflow's capabilities of Webflow to achieve an experience that would be fun and conversion-based, while still telling the story of the brand. I did that; I built the project and submitted it. However, I had so much fun iterating and building it that I decided to channel that direction into my personal portfolio Below is the new look of my portfolio: https://onyebuchi-omoigberale.webflow.io/ I started by creating a loader screen with the Pixar animation, as I have always been fascinated by it A departure from my old hero section, I focused on an information marquee ticker with a caveat: I added a tablet autoviewer to give users a feel for my projects before scrolling down Made it a fun portfolio and added a gamification bar that uses levels to guide you to different sections of my portfolio Added a music player with toast notifications; I have a mix of personal tracks you can play while you explore my portfolio I understand this is a radically different direction from my usual muted, calm, minimal builds, but this shows I can straddle both worlds and build amazing outcomes Again, you can explore my portfolio at https://onyebuchi-omoigberale.webflow.io/ Pro tip: play some music from the built-in music player while you scroll
