Developed a complete set of Crystal Reports for a SAP Business One HANA environment, connected directly through SAP Crystal Reports and HANA Studio. This BP (Business Partner) Ledger Report shows a running-balance statement with opening balance, transaction-level detail (date, document number, narration, debit/credit), and an auto-calculated running total the kind of report finance teams rely on for balance confirmations and reconciliation.
What the report package includes (visible across the open tabs):
BP Ledger Report : running-balance statement with opening balance carried forward, per-transaction debit/credit, and a live running total, filterable by date range
Ledger Report – Party-wise : the same ledger logic segmented by business partner, for multi-party reconciliation
Ledger Report : a general-purpose ledger view
Stock Statement : inventory position reporting
Purchase Order report : procurement-side documentation
Technical approach:
Built and queried directly against SAP B1 HANA using HANA Studio and native Crystal Reports connectivity, not a flattened export
Running totals calculated natively in Crystal Reports (Running Total Fields) so balances stay accurate as new transactions are added, with no manual re-calculation
Parameterized date-range filtering (Balance Confirmation From/To) so the same report serves any period without rebuilding
Clean, print-ready formatting suitable for sending directly to a customer or vendor for balance confirmation
Why this matters to a client:
A BP ledger with a running balance sounds simple, but getting the running total to calculate correctly against opening balances, filtered date ranges, and grouped by party takes real Crystal Reports and HANA query experience. This is a day-to-day report almost every SAP B1 finance team needs, and I can build the full set ledger, stock, purchase, and party-wise views as one connected package rather than one-off reports.

## The Challenge ##
Developers and teams waste 1-2 hours per week switching between dozens of scattered online tools for basic tasks like formatting JSON responses, converting data formats (Base64, URL encoding), generating passwords and UUIDs, hashing data for security, converting images, and counting words or analyzing text.
The problems with existing solutions are significant. Data gets sent to third-party servers, creating security risks. Ads and pop-ups slow down workflow. Multiple subscription fees cost $10-50/month per tool. UI/UX remains inconsistent across different websites. And there is no customization for team-specific needs.
## The Solution ##
I built a comprehensive, all-in-one Developer Tools Platform that consolidates 30+ essential utilities into a single, secure, fast, and free platform.
1. Code Formatting Tools
- The platform includes JSON Prettify and Validator for formatting and validating JSON with syntax highlighting, HTML Prettify for cleaning up messy HTML code, CSS Minify for compressing stylesheets, and CSS Prettify for beautifying CSS code.
2. Data Conversion Tools
- Users can encode and decode URLs for safe web use, convert text and files to Base64 and back (essential for HTTP Auth and JWT), convert JSON data to CSV format for spreadsheet compatibility, and convert CSV data back to JSON format.
3. Security Tools
- The platform generates MD5 hashes for data integrity checks, SHA-256 hashes (the industry standard for security), and SHA-512 hashes for enhanced security requirements.
4. Random Data Tools
- Developers can generate secure, random passwords with customizable strength, create unique UUIDs for database records, and generate random numbers within specified ranges.
5. Utilities
- The suite includes a word counter for content planning, a timestamp converter for transforming Unix timestamps into readable dates, and a lorem ipsum generator for design mockups.
6. Database Query Validator
- Users can validate the query and check the verify the results across testing database.
