This one never made it across the finish line, but it’s still one of my favorite identity concepts I’ve worked on. I created this direction for Susie’s, building the mark around a custom script wordmark and a simple cherry illustration that gave the brand a little personality without losing its polish. The final client direction went somewhere else, which is just part of the process, but I’ve always loved how this one came together. Not every good idea gets chosen. Some are still worth sharing.

This was one of my favorite brand brief projects I’ve ever done, all the way back in 2022. I still love where the identity was heading, the typography, the texture, and the whole visual world around Cocoa Crumb. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way I either accidentally deleted the original file or completely lost it. So this image is basically all I have left of the project. Oh well. Still one of my favorites.

This logo mark began with research into South African heritage. I kept returning to the country’s flag, especially the green Y-shaped form at its center. I isolated that shape, refined it, and rotated it around a central axis until each piece aligned into one balanced symbol. The result feels warm, natural, and rooted in heritage, while still giving the skincare brand a modern and distinctive identity.
