A car configurator in Framer with no backend: the state lives in the URL.

VANTERA is a concept site I built for a fictional EV brand. Its configurator has six paints, three wheels and three interiors, 54 combinations, and no database behind it.

Each option is a link to the same page with a query parameter, like /configurator?paint=Blu%20Modena. The page reads paint, wheels and interior into page variables, and the live summary follows them. Links preserve the parameters already set, so picking wheels keeps your paint. The ring on the selected option is just a visibility condition on the matching variable.

My first attempt set the variables with tap actions added through Framer's Server API. On the published site they did nothing. The URL version works, and every configuration is a link you can send.
