How I check whether a "hiring signal" is real before it goes on a list —
1. Count roles on the company's OWN careers page or ATS (Greenhouse/Ashby/Workable), not on aggregators. Aggregators repost dead roles for weeks.
2. Note the split. "38 open roles" means little; "38 open, 33 technical" is a signal.
3. Keep the source URL in the row. If a client can't click and verify it in 10 seconds, it isn't a signal, it's a guess.
4. Date-stamp it. Hiring data is stale after about a week.
