The Problem: Modern neighborhoods are paradoxically connected yet isolated. We suffer from "resource silos"—where one person buys a $200 pressure washer they use once, while three neighbors rent theirs. This leads to financial strain, environmental waste, and a lack of genuine community interaction. Existing platforms are too transactional, broad, or unsafe for true neighborhood sharing.

The Solution: Toolbox is a hyperlocal mobile prototype that enables neighbors to borrow, lend, and swap resources within a 1-mile radius. By replacing money with "Community Credits" and prioritizing trust through verification badges and QR-code handoffs, we transform everyday transactions into meaningful social connections.

How I Built It (The Innovative Workflow): I leveraged the full power of the Figma AI suite to move from concept to high-fidelity prototype in record time: Figma Agent: Used to instantly populate the UI with realistic, diverse item listings and auto-generate responsive component variants for different user personas. Supabase Connection: Connected the design to live external data sources, including real-time geolocation for distance calculation and weather APIs to dynamically adjust UI visibility (e.g., hiding outdoor tools during rain). Figma Make: Transformed design to code, deployed to handle complex interaction logic, such as the multi-step "Request & Confirm" flow and automated accessibility audits to ensure inclusivity for elderly users.

Impact: Environmental: Reduces overconsumption and household waste. Economic: Saves families hundreds of dollars annually on rarely-used goods. Social: Combats urban loneliness by creating low-stakes, positive interactions between neighbors.
