Eve Foundation is a UK-established charity working to upskill, educate, and improve healthcare access for vulnerable women and young people. Its flagship project is the Hawa Maternity Hospital in rural Sylhet, Bangladesh.

The foundation needed more than a brochure site. It needed a website that could raise money from two very different donor bases (UK supporters and Bangladeshi donors), meet UK charity requirements, run events, and recruit volunteers, all without a technical team to manage it.

I designed and built the entire site, from visual design and event pages to the donation, registration, and data systems behind them.

The challenge

Two donor audiences, two payment systems. UK and international donors expect card and wallet payments, while donors in Bangladesh rely on bKash. Both had to work smoothly from one donation flow.

UK Gift Aid. For eligible UK taxpayers, Gift Aid lets a charity claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 donated. The site had to capture valid Gift Aid declarations properly so the foundation could claim it.

Personalised giving. Supporters funding items such as handpumps wanted their name or a dedication message on a plaque, and that detail had to reach the team accurately.

A small team, lots of data. Donations, plaque details, volunteer sign-ups, and event registrations needed to land somewhere the team could actually use, without logging into multiple dashboards.

The result

Eve Foundation now runs its fundraising, events, and volunteer recruitment from a single website. UK and Bangladeshi donors each get a payment method they trust, Gift Aid declarations are collected at the point of donation, and every plaque dedication, registration, and sign-up arrives in a spreadsheet the team already knows how to use.
