I created a cinematic wildlife video of a fallow deer resting under a mossy tree in a forest, then waking up and standing.
I made it to show AI can create calm, realistic nature content that feels like a National Geographic moment without a crew or stock footage.

Hello, World. This video is kind of personal. I stopped making videos ten years ago. I was doing countless corporate gigs, and the whole thing started to feel tedious and soulless. I always wanted to tell stories; that's why I studied filmmaking. Discovering generative AI felt like making my first short film, and playing with it since then has opened up a world of possibilities.
So the story references different stages. The macaw is the public that's apprehensive about AI and doesn't want anything to change. The raccoon is that moment of discovery. The sacred chamber of gods is what I feel right now: both awe and fear of what AI can do, or could become. And being propelled to LA, crash-landing in the mecca of filmmaking, is the cherry on top.
Why a mango tree? We have a macaw at home, and she is so protective of her mango tree. I don't think AI could ever evoke how crazy and loud she screams when an unknown person or animal gets close to it.

Making each animal stand for a stage of how you feel about AI is what turns a challenge entry into a short film. The audience follows feelings, not tools. The macaw is the strongest choice because it's real: a sound and a habit you know from home that no prompt would invent. In...
We rarely notice the invisible chain that connects us.
Small micro-moments pass kinetic energy like a quiet baton across the city. We move through the same streets, share the same rhythms, and leave ripples in places we’ll never see. Every spectator is part of the pulse.

Hiii! I joined the Contra x CapCut challenge, having never used CapCut AI before. I’d only ever edited videos manually.
After three days of struggling with prompts, inconsistent characters, and scenes that absolutely refused to cooperate, I finally found my story.
I'm working at my desk with my dogs when an alien crashes into my life and invites me to LA. We travel across the universe, I get beamed onto a stage, and for a moment, I'm living the dream.
Then I turn into an alien.
And get kicked out because NO ALIENS ALLOWED.
All that intergalactic travel to technically make it to LA. 😂

Really best so far! Congrats!
