One of the most interesting projects I’ve worked on recently was building a custom Insurance Lead Conversion System for Crystal Field Insurance Agency in Florida, United States. At first glance, the problem seemed simple: improve lead conversion. But after spending time with their workflow, it became clear that the real issue wasn’t getting more leads… It was what was happening after the leads came in. That’s where revenue was quietly slipping away. When I mapped out their process, I noticed a familiar pattern in many insurance agencies: ➡️ A prospect requests a quote ➡️ An agent gets busy with other tasks ➡️ Follow-ups get delayed “just for a moment” ➡️ Missed calls go unanswered ➡️ The prospect finds another provider within minutes Individually, none of these moments feel like a big deal. But together, they form a silent leak in the sales pipeline—one that costs agencies thousands in lost revenue every month. So instead of focusing on generating more traffic, I focused on fixing the system that handles what they already have. I built a full lead conversion infrastructure that gives the agency real-time visibility and control over every stage of the lead journey, from first contact to final conversion. The system includes: • Centralized lead management with real-time tracking • Automated missed-call recovery workflows • Lead leakage detection and alerts • Smart follow-up sequences that ensure no prospect is forgotten • Agent performance tracking and accountability insights • Intelligent lead routing and prioritization • Conversion analytics dashboards for decision-making On the technical side, I combined a modern, scalable stack: 🔹 Next.js for a fast and responsive frontend 🔹 Tailwind CSS for clean, consistent UI design 🔹 FastAPI for a high-performance backend 🔹 Claude API for intelligent automation and workflow enhancements 🔹 Supabase for reliable data storage and real-time capabilities One thing I enjoyed about this project was combining modern frontend tooling with a backend architecture that could support automation, reporting, and future integrations without becoming overly complex. It's always rewarding to build software that goes beyond looking good and actually helps a business improve its day-to-day operations.
