I started freelancing in April 2025 after leaving my job at a design studio. Since then, my income has come from a few different places (not all of it is visible on contra).
Most of it came from ongoing freelance work with startups. As I started working directly with clients on framer websites, I also began offering a monthly retainer for updates, maintenance, and improvements after launch. More recently, I joined Contra Labs, which has been a nice extra source of projects.
Here's the breakdown:
β’ Freelance work: 70% (worked with framer, contra, magicpath etc.)
β’ Direct clients: 24%
β’ Retainers: 4.3%
β’ Contra Labs: 1.7%
The number is nice, but knowing where it comes from is what actually helps you understand how to build something sustainable.

one of my favorite content niches to create within is TRAVEL! i love hotels, airbnb's, cruises & any sort of travel stay's.
the difference in these videos are:
β one is a quick tempo room tour to help a prospective visitor grasp what their POV could be
β the other is my VO painting a picture while using the staycation videos as b-roll. great for brand building in a subtle, narrative way.
